Births, Marriages and Death Certificates

Birth certificates are available for births dating from 1744 to the present for children born in Montague. Birth certificates are sometimes available for children born outside of Montague, but whose parents resided in Montague at the time of the birth.

Marriage certificates are available for records dating from 1744 to the present. The Town Clerk has records for couples who filed their marriage intentions in Montague.

Death certificates are available for records dating from 1744 to the present. The Town Clerk has records for Montague residents who died in Montague, as well as some records for Montague residents who died elsewhere in Massachusetts.

The fee is $10.00 for a certified copy of any birth, marriage or death cerificate.

If you would like to send for a certified copy or copies, please send your correspondence to Town Clerk's Office, 1 Avenue A, Turners Falls, MA 01376. We require a self addressed, stamped envelope along with a check made payable to the Town of Montague.
