A taxpayer must apply for an abatement for each specific year in which there is a dispute. Application Forms are available at the Assessors' office on the second floor of Town Hall. Applications must be filed with the Assessors on or before the last day for payment of the actual tax bill issued upon the establishment of the tax rate for the fiscal year to which the tax relates on a form approved by the Commissioner of Revenue. The filing date for Fiscal Year 2008 is December 28, 2007.
