Trash stickers are required for trash collection in the Town of Montague. They are sold in several locations through out the Town of Montague. The cost for a sticker is $3.00. The sticker is to be placed directly on the rubbish bag. The bag cannot exceed 40 pounds in weight. They are sold at several locations through out the Town of Montague. In the village of Turners Falls, they are sold at Scotty’s store on the top of the hill, Cumberland Farms, Exxon Station, Food City and the Town Hall in the downtown area. In Millers Falls they are sold at Carroll’s Supermarket, and in the village of Montague Center the stickers are sold at the Montague Mini Mart.
The Town Hall sells both the trash stickers and barrel stickers. The barrel sticker goes directly on the barrel and is good for six months. The cost for a barrel sticker is $78.00 per half year. The year runs July 1 – December 31, and January 1 – June 30. Each month the barrel stickers are pro-rated.
